Daily Schedule Sunday Nov 12
Shop at the Roycroft Campus or relax at the Inn after the conference ends.
Then join the group for a seasonal dinner the Roycroft Inn is noted for.
Music al entertainment will end the evening.
Monday Nov 13
After breakfast we will begin our Western New York experience. We will journey by deluxe motor coach to Graycliff – the house designed for Isabelle Martin by
Frank Lloyd Wright for a morning tour of this lakeside residence.
After lunch we will stop at Our Lady of Victory Basilica to view this extraordinary marble wonder and then off to the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens. This botanical gardens is the product of three extraordinary visionaries: landscaping architect Fredrick Law Olmsted, architects Lord & Burnham and botanist / plant-explorer John F. Cowell. The Victorian Conservatory buildings are located in Olmsted’s South Park, one of the 5 parks in the Buffalo Park System
A wine and cheese reception at the historic Fournier House precedes dinner at
the Inn. A special presentation will follow dinner.
Tuesday Nov 14
After breakfast we will “shuffle off to Buffalo” to spend the day in this architecturally rich City on the shores of Lake Erie. We will view world-class buildings designed by architects, Louis Sullivan, HH Richardson and Stanford White. We will also drive by at the renovated Larkin @ Exchange Building and also see the site of the former Larkin Building.
Lunch will be at the at a Buffalo landmark restaurant. Also in store is a VIP tour of the Frank Lloyd Wright Darwin Martin Complex and a peek at the new Blue Sky Mausoleum at historic Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Dinner in Buffalo at an established Buffalo eatery ends this fun filled day.
Wednesday Nov 15
We end our Western New York program with a lecture at the Roycroft Chapel to learn about the international Arts & Crafts Movement.
A farewell lunch at the Roycroft Inn concludes the program.
Cost $637 – double occupancy - $225 single supplement
Minimum Enrollment – 20 persons
